A pledge is spoken and signed between the fathers and daughters, some as young as six. The fathers choose, before God, in front of a wooden cross draped in a veil in the hotel's ballroom put in place by tulle dressed young girls, to cover their daughters and be her protection and moral authority in the area of purity.
