But getting surgery is not easy. In this episode, we catch up with 29-year-old Terry Gardner who weighed 47 stone eighteen months ago. His journey takes him from cheating and denial to an operation that will save his life. 29-year-old Laura Lamb weighs in at 19 stone has been refused surgery twice already and 35-year-old David Harper weighs 31 stone and also struggles to follow the advice of the surgeons.
