The BBC has today launched BBC Sounds, its new personalised music, radio and podcast app.

The new BBC Sounds app will carry thousands of hours of BBC content both live and on-demand from the Radio 1 Breakfast Show and Essential Mix, to the best choice of podcasts, along with new music mixes specially curated for BBC Sounds by the BBC's top music experts and other artists.

The Sounds app will for the first time offer a single home for all the BBC's audio content. Every user's experience of BBC Sounds will be unique as it's designed to learn from your listening habits, providing one-tap access to the latest episodes of your favourite BBC podcasts and radio shows and introducing you to new audio you wouldn't otherwise have discovered from the 80,000 (yes, really) hours available.

Our film 'Listen Without Limits' follows an audience member through her day, as she is joined wherever she goes by a huge range of talent from across music, BBC radio and podcasts, keeping her company with music, comedy, discussion, opinion and documentaries from around the world. As well as BBC presenters the film features appearances from amongst others Rita Ora, Wretch 32, Jared Leto, comedian Rachel Parris, Kylie Minogue, Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-Min, Brian Cox, and Idris Elba.
