I'm Finally Happy To Show My Acne On Instagram | SHAKE MY BEAUTY ─ truly

A 'skin positivity' advocate is trying to end the stigma around acne by sharing untouched pictures of her outbreaks on Instagram. Mariia Bilenka, 23, from Kiev in U: kraine, had struggled with acne since the age of 13 but by the summer of 2019, after intensive treatment, her skin was the clearest it had been in years. But when she moved away from home to work as an au pair in Germany in September 2019, she broke out in angry red blotches on her chin and cheeks, which then spread to her forehead. She moved back to Kiev in December 2019 but hid herself away due to her shame about her skin. But Mariia eventually started to embrace her skin after discovering a community on social media of people living with acne. In this film we see Maria meet up with long-time follower Anastasia who has also battled with acne and been inspired by Mariia's openness about her skin. The pair head to the Roshen ice rink together - a place Mariia has been avoiding since her acne began to flare up.
